My Take

This is an excellent resource for anyone looking to adopt core longevity practices, especially if nutrition is your main focus. If you want to eat better and maximize your health and lifespan, this book is a fine place to start.

That said, the book’s certainty on the power of nutrition might be off-putting to some. As Dr. Peter Attia highlights, nutritional science is notoriously tricky due to the challenges of studying it in humans. Want to know if blueberries extend longevity? Fine. Conduct a life-long study with two large groups who maintain identical diets and environments—except for the inclusion of blueberries. It’s doable with lab rats, but humans? Not realistically, leaving much of the evidence incomplete or speculative.
